Ramy Inocencio\u00a0was elected by AAJA members to serve as Senior Vice President for the 2019\u00a0term beginning January 1, 2019. The special election was held to fill the remainder of Michelle Lee’s term as Senior Vice President, as Michelle was elected to serve as National President for the 2019-2020 term.\u00a0<\/p>

AAJA will also be holding a special election for Vice President of Journalism Programs to complete the remainder of Ramy’s term in 2019. The call for nominations will be announced\u00a0Tuesday, October 9 at 5pm PT<\/strong>.\u00a0The Vice President of Programs-elect will be expected to attend the 2018 AAJA Fall Board Meeting taking place November 16-17, 2018\u00a0in San Francisco, California.<\/p>
